Gain of Function Wellness is run by a husband and wife team Berna and James DeMalignon. Though they are both educated in different niches and work independently, they collaborate during weekly case rounds. This is where they discuss clinical data, progress reports, and new patient reports, which means you will receive comprehensive recommendations on your care.
Berna DeMalignon, M.D
Medical Director
Dr. DeMalignon earned her medical degree through a specialized BS/MD program offered by The Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at the City University of New York Medical School and Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, earning her medical degree in 1998. She then completed residency in Radiation Oncology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She has well over 18 years of experience in patient care in oncology.

When blessed with "free time" she enjoys playing pickle ball, rock climbing, and camping with her family. She also was certified as a pilates instructor while she lived in Brazil through Spiral Pilates studio and has a good understanding of the importance of body mechanics.
James DeMalignon
Natural Health Practitioner
James DeMalignon is a former personal trainer, mountaineer, and avid rock climber. Following his career in personal training, he expanded his natural health knowledge and became certified in natural health care from the Alternative Medicine College of Canada. James specializes in applied kinesiology, frequency specific microcurrent (FSM), SCENAR therapy, nutritional counseling, and environmental medicine.
Christina Skinner
Dietician, Licensed Nutritionist
Christina Skinner is a registered dietitian, licensed nutritionist. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition at Montana State University in Bozeman and her internship at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO. She has been practicing as a dietitian over the past 12 years in a variety of settings. Her passion for nutrition and helping others has allowed her to create an environment for her patients to reach and maintain their health goals. She creates individualized plans based on each patient’s specific needs. When not teaching nutrition, she is a ranch wife and a mama to 4 littles.
